Since Dr. Santosh Dhungana began serving as the Editorial Review Group Chair in Pulmonology in March 2017, we have sent him 103 books. So far, he has completed reviews of 49 of the 55 we have requested, and we have published all of them.
Dr. Dhungana completed medical school at Tribhuvan University and Institute of Medicine, the premier medical school in Kathmandu, Nepal. He then completed his residency training in internal medicine at University of Tennessee in Nashville. He subsequently completed his fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at University of Kentucky in Lexington. He currently holds the title of Assistant Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia and is a practicing pulmonologist with Temple Lung Center.
He is heavily invested in the medical education of future pulmonologists and critical care specialists at his institution. He has authored several book chapters and journal articles. His professional interests include general pulmonology, lung cancer, and bronchoscopy.
