Morgan & Claypool Publishers LLC was formed by experienced publishing professionals to serve the global research and development communities in science and technology with the mission of creating “next generation” digital information products. The Synthesis Digital Library of Engineering and Computer Science launched in Fall 2005, while the Colloquium Digital Library of Life Sciences launched in Fall 2009. The basic component of the Colloquium Digital Library is a 50- to 120-page electronic book that synthesizes an essential scientific topic, authored by a prominent researcher in the field. Colloquium titles are organized by series, each managed by a prominent consulting leader in the field. The series editor oversees topic and author selection, as well as peer review to assure quality. These titles are available to licensing institutions campus-wide with unlimited concurrent use. Titles can also be saved, printed, and emailed, making them perfect for courses of any size.
Morgan & Claypool began sending us its life sciences titles in 2010. Since then, we have received 103 titles, representing 30 different specialties in clinical medicine and the basic sciences, and have published reviews of 30 of them.
