Tarascon Publishing was founded by Dr. Steven Green in 1987 with the mission of providing healthcare providers “the best available portable medical references.” It began with a single drug book and then expanded to a series of pocket guides that distill and organize important clinical information in over 15 specialty areas. In a sign of the times, Tarascon was acquired by Jones & Bartlett Learning in 2008, which continues to publish the pocket guides with the distinctive covers.

Tarascon became a participating publisher in Doody’s Review Service in 2000. Since then, we have received 88 of its titles, and have published reviews of 49 of them. In the past year, we’ve received eight Tarascon titles and published reviews of five of them. Doody’s Core Titles 2016 features one Tarascon title.
