Like many of the participating publishers in Doody’s Review Service over the past 23 years, Radcliffe Publishing began as an independent company, but later was bought by a larger publisher, in this case CRC Press/Taylor & Francis Group, which acquired it in 2015. The U.K. company began as Radcliffe Medical Press in 1987. In 2004, the name was officially changed to Radcliffe Publishing to reflect its expansion beyond medicine to include, among other subject areas, nursing and palliative care. By the time of its sale in June 2015, Radcliffe had become a leading U.K. publisher in general practice, primary healthcare, and related specialties, with 720 titles. From June 1994 through June 2015, we received 534 Radcliffe titles in a wide range of specialties and published reviews of 288 of them.
