Tiffany Rose Kong has been a Doody’s Review Service book reviewer since the beginning of 2024. She reviews book titles across the nursing spectrum, covering a variety of specialties. 

Tiffany Rose is a clinical practice consultant nurse at Rush Medical Group in Chicago, IL. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Loyola University Chicago in 2008 and her master of science in nursing from Rush University in 2018.  

With over 17 years of nursing experience, Tiffany Rose has a diverse clinical background that includes post-surgical care, trauma and surgical intensive care, cardiology and cardiac surgery intensive care, ECMO, and most recently, ambulatory care. Her experience also includes roles as a travel nurse, medical device educator, and nursing clinical instructor. Currently, Tiffany Rose oversees the clinical practice of ambulatory care staff, ensuring quality and excellence in patient care. She is actively engaged in professional organizations, serving on the Program Committee for the Illinois ANA and as a member of both the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) and the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD).

In school, we often relied on assigned textbooks without questioning their effectiveness. Now, I enjoy critically assessing whether a book meets its stated objectives and help readers find true value in the content. This process also allows me to expand my knowledge beyond my current specialty and stay informed about emergency trends in healthcare.” 

She also shares “One book I recently enjoyed reviewing is the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice for Nurses and Healthcare Professionals: Model & Guidelines. I found it exceptionally well-written for novice nurses, combining clear language with a balance of illustrations.”
