Publishing their first book in 1584, Cambridge University Press is the oldest publishing house in the world. With an eye for excellence in scholarly publishing of academic texts, they’ve published many groundbreaking works throughout the years, including Isaac Newton’s Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, John Milton’s Lycidas, Ernest Rutherford’s Radio-activity, and Noam Chomsky’s Language and Mind.
Cambridge University Press has been a participating publisher in Doody’s Review Service since May 1993, sending us hundreds of books throughout the years. Since our last profile in 2015, we’ve received 340 of their titles, and have published 180 reviews so far. Doody’s Core Titles 2022 features 30 Cambridge titles, including three labeled as Essential Purchase Titles.
