The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), founded in 1928 to improve health record quality, has grown to become the premier association of health information management (HIM) professionals worldwide. AHIMA has played a leadership role in the effective management of health data and medical records needed to deliver quality healthcare to the public and now serves 52 affiliated component state associations and more than 103,000 health information professionals. In addition to providing resources such as textbooks and online education, AHIMA is one of the four cooperating parties responsible for the ICD-10 coding guidelines.

AHIMA has been a participating publisher since 1999. Over the years, they have sent us 89 of their publications and we have published reviews of 25 of them. Twelve of their titles were selected for Doody’s Core Titles 2017.
