A leading publisher in psychology, psychiatry, and mental health in Europe, Hogrefe Publishing was founded in 1949 in Germany and has been publishing in North America since the 1970s. The original core areas are now supplemented by publications in the fields of nursing, healthcare, and medicine. The Hogrefe group today includes publishing companies in 13 countries in Europe, the U.S., and Brazil and releases 220 new titles each year, including the award-winning Clinical Handbook of Psychotropic Drugs.
Hogrefe Publishing became a participating publisher in Doody’s Review Service in 1994 and has sent us 257 of its titles since then. We’ve received 10 Hogrefe titles in the past year, and we’ve published reviews of two of them so far. Doody’s Core Titles 2016 features two Hogrefe titles, including the 21st edition of Clinical Handbook of Psychotropic Drugs, which is designated an Essential Purchase title.
