Since our last Dentistry profile in 2019, we’ve received 244 titles in dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Our current Editorial Chair for these disciplines, Dr. Joseph Doctora, helped usher in oral and maxillofacial surgery as its own Doody’s specialty classification in 2023 and served as the inaugural DCT Content Specialist for the discipline in 2024. Thirty-three dentistry and 14 oral and maxillofacial surgery titles appear on Doody’s Core Titles 2024, featuring new and essential purchase titles such as Diagnosis and Treatment Planning in Dentistry, 4th Edition, Stefanac (Elsevier, 2024) and Oxford Textbook of Anaesthesia for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 2nd Edition, Ward (Oxford University Press, 2023).
