Founded over 125 years ago in Leipzig, Germany, Thieme Medical Publishers remains a family owned and run business with offices in Germany, the U.S., India, and Brazil. They publish primarily in neurosurgery, otolaryngology, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, radiology, complementary and alternative medicine, audiology, and speech and language pathology.

Over the past year, we have received 44 Thieme titles in 13 specialties and we have published reviews of 24 of them, with 9 currently out for review. Doody’s Core Titles 2014 features 42 Thieme titles in 15 specialties. Two of the titles were selected for two different specialties – pediatric surgery and neurosurgery. Six Thieme titles were designated Essential Purchase titles.
