The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is a private, nonprofit society established by an Act of Congress, signed by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863. The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and the National Academy of Medicine (NAM, formerly the Institute of Medicine) were founded under the NAS charter in 1964 and 1970, respectively. The three Academies work together as the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to provide independent, objective analysis and advice to the nation and conduct other activities to solve complex problems and inform public policy decisions. The National Academies Press was created to publish the reports of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. It publishes more than 200 books a year on a wide range of topics, providing authoritative information on important matters in science and health policy.

National Academies Press began sending us its books in 1994, stopped in 2004, and resumed in 2013. Overall, we have received 190 NAP titles and have published expert reviews of 87 of them in Doody’s Review Service. In the past year, we have received 44 of its titles, and have published reviews of 20 of them. Doody’s Core Titles 2015 features six NAP titles, one of which was selected as an Essential Purchase title.

I have tried several times to find a way to purchase e version of their reports and add them to our catalog but have been unsuccessful. Has anyone else figured out how to do this?
