The final installment in our 2024-25 Doody’s Special Topics List series deals with aging and health. This comprehensive collection of titles addresses the diverse healthcare needs of older adults in the form of crucial resources for clinicians, researchers, caregivers, and policymakers. These books are sure to cover both medical and psychosocial issues, while also highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary approaches to geriatric health. While many titles will cover specific, common geriatric challenges, including frailty resilience, nutrition, and physical activity, other books will tackle broader aspects of elderly care, including the ethical issues of end-of-life care and social determinants of health. This Doody’s Special Topics Lists comprises 42 titles from 17 publishers. The prices for these titles range from $23.75 to $380, with an average cost of $136.33. Doody’s Core Titles 2025 features numerous titles in this DSTL, including Ham’s Primary Care Geriatrics: A Case-Based Approach, 7th Edition, Warshaw (Elsevier, 2022) and Hazzard’s Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, 8th Edition, Halter (McGraw Hill, 2022). Other titles on the list include recent releases like Aging: Geroscience as the New Public Health Frontier, 2^nd Edition, Kirkland et al. (Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press, 2024) and Functional and Occupational Performance in Older Adults, 5^th Edition, Bonder et al. (F. A. Davis, 2024).
