Dr. Vedang Bhavsar is one of our newest Editorial Review Group Chairs, overseeing reviews in general internal medicine and biostatistics since 2024. Before becoming Chair, Dr. Bhavsar contributed as a reviewer under former ERG Chair Dr. Timir Paul. Under Dr. Paul, Dr. Bhavsar reviewed nine titles, and so far, Dr. Bhavsar’s review group has reviewed 19 titles. 

Dr. Bhavsar earned his medical degree in 2007 from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College in India before moving to the U.S. to pursue further medical training. He was enrolled in a Master of Public Health (MPH) program at Cleveland State University from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Bhavsar started an internal medicine residency at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in 2009. He continued at ETSU for fellowship training in cardiology, which he completed in 2015. 

Dr. Bhavsar is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Imaging at Northeast Georgia Health System and is a core faculty member for the cardiology fellowship program. Additionally, he holds an academic appointment as assistant professor at Augusta University and is actively involved in clinical research through the Georgia Heart Institute. 

Dr. Bhavsar enjoys reviewing internal medicine and biostatistics books because it keeps him at the forefront of evolving medical knowledge while allowing him to bridge complex quantitative concepts with practical clinical applications. By ensuring accuracy, clarity, and precision in both clinical and statistical content, he likes to help create high-quality educational resources that empower readers to make informed decisions and support better patient care.
