Maggie Chorazy has served as the Editorial Review Group Chair for Epidemiology since July 2020. Since then, we’ve sent 49 titles to Dr. Chorazy’s group, of which they’ve reviewed 21.
Dr. Chorazy is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Iowa College of Public Health and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology where she has been a faculty member since 2010. She previously served as the College’s founding director of the undergraduate program in public health. Her scholarly interests include teaching and learning, specifically public health education, curricular innovation, and contributions to pedagogy. She teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in evidence-based public health and epidemiology principles and methods. Dr. Chorazy received her MPH degree in the epidemiology of microbial diseases from Yale University (2004) and her PhD in epidemiology from the University of Iowa (2010). She is a current member of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health’s (ASPPH) Framing the Future 2030 Transformative Education Models and Pedagogy Expert Panel and previously served on the ASPPH Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Task Force.
