Dr. George M. Rodgers has served as Editorial Review Group Chair for Hematology/Oncology since May 2019. To keep up with this highly published field, we have sent Dr. Rodgers 145 books during his tenure as Chair, and he has personally reviewed 45 of those books.  

Dr. Rodgers is a professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He also holds an appointment as an adjunct professor in the Department of Pathology. He has over 45 years of experience and started at the University of Utah in 1988. He is the senior adult hemophilia and thrombosis expert in the state of Utah and serves as the adult hemophilia expert for a six-state region. In addition, Dr. Rodgers is a medical director for the Coagulation Laboratory at ARUP Laboratories and the chairman of the University Hospital Adverse Drug Reaction Subcommittee. He is a member of the University Hospital Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Department of Medicine Tenure 5-Year Review, and the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship and Clinical Competency Committees. He is also a principal investigator for three clinical trials and the director of the Utah Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and his fellowship in hematology at the University of California at San Francisco.
