TFM Publishing is an independent, family-owned company specializing in academic medical publishing. Its main focus is in the fields of anesthesia, critical care and intensive care medicine, general surgery, trauma, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery. The majority of its books are also available in various ebook formats from many ebook suppliers. It is known for its quick publishing turnaround — from manuscript to finished product typically takes less than eight months. This means that its books are as current as they can be when they reach the market.

We began receiving TFM titles in 2002 and since then, we’ve received 64 of its books and published reviews of 51 of them. One of TFM’s titles, The Fundamentals of Surgical Instruments: A Practical Guide to Their Recognition, Use and Care, was selected for Doody’s Core Titles 2019.
