Dr. Timir Paul has been Editorial Review Group Chair in Biostatistics for Doody’s Review Service since 2013. Over these past four years, we have sent him 75 books, and he has organized reviews of 70 of them, calling on 10 reviewers.
Dr. Paul received an MD from Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh, and he was awarded a PhD and MPH in Cardiovascular Epidemiology and Biostatistics by Tulane University.
Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, where he serves as Junior Clerkship Director, Director of Cardiovascular Research, Director of Peripheral Intervention, and Associate Director of Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Paul has served on the Editorial Board for Cardiology Review Online and he currently serves on the Editorial Board for Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine. He also serves as a reviewer for Cardiac Catheterization and Interventions, Atherosclerosis, British Medical Journal, Journal of Interventional Cardiology, Journal of Invasive Cardiology, American Journal of Cardiology, and several others.
His research interests include subclinical atherosclerosis and peripheral arterial diseases. Dr. Paul has published several manuscripts on intima-media thickness, coronary calcium scores, and renal artery stenting. He was awarded a $250,000 PCORI (Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute) grant for two years.
