No Comments on Publisher Profile: Plural Publishing, Inc. 151
Plural Publishing, founded by Dr. Sadanand Singh and Angie Singh in 2004, is the fourth company founded by Dr. Singh, following College-Hill Press (1980 to 1986), Singular Publishing Group (1990 to 1997), and ContentScan (2001 to 2004). Plural’s founders have a long association with the speech, language, and hearing professions — the focus of their former publishing companies. With Plural Publishing, they have expanded the company’s focus to include otolaryngology, gastroenterology, oncology, and neurology to reflect the multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of laryngeal cancers or swallowing disorders as well as neurological disorders such as dementia, aphasia, or brain tumors.
Since 2005, Plural has sent us 397 books and we have published reviews of 128 of them. Otolaryngology accounted for 81 of the 397 titles. In the past year, we’ve received 32 books from Plural Publishing. Doody’s Core Titles 2015 features 21 Plural titles, all in speech, language & hearing, with three selected as Essential Purchase titles in that specialty.
