Over the last year, we have received 52 titles in pharmacy from 14 publishers – 16 from pharmacy societies: American Pharmacists Association, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and Pharmaceutical Press, the publishing arm of the U.K.-based Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Of the 52 titles, 31 have been reviewed, with another two out for review at the time of newsletter publication. Prices of these books range from $15.00 for pocket drug guides to $360.00 for books aimed at researchers, for an average cost of $114.00. Doody’s Core Titles 2014 features 24 titles in Pharmacy, from 12 publishers. One-third of the titles (eight) are published by the three pharmacy societies. Of the 24 titles, seven were designated Essential Purchase Titles.
