Health Professions Press is a specialist publisher that focuses on gerontology, long-term care, elder care, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and wellness and aging, as well as health administration. Its publications include professional references and resources, practical handbooks, and graduate- and undergraduate-level textbooks, assessment tools, DVDs, online materials, and multimedia products. Founded in 1989 by the principals of Paul H. Brookes Publishing, Health Professions Press shares offices with that publisher in Baltimore, Maryland.
Health Professions Press began sending us their books in 2004. Since then we’ve received 62 of its titles and have published reviews of 36 of them. Three of its books were selected for Doody’s Core Titles 2019.
