Editor’s note: This profile updates the our previous one published in 2021. 

Elsevier has participated in Doody’s Review Service since 1993, with nearly 6,500 titles selected by Doody’s as essential to review for health library collections development. Elsevier book titles are featured prominently each year in Doody’s Core Titles (DCT), with the vast majority garnering 3- to 5-star reviews, with 3,150 scoring 4- and 5-star reviews.  In 2024, over 584 Elsevier titles were selected by librarians for DCT – more than any other publisher. Of these, 186 were deemed “Essential Purchases” for libraries in 2024. Searches of Elsevier titles on the DRS and DCT platforms link directly to Elsevier’s ScienceDirect or ClinicalKey platforms.
