People’s Medical Publishing House was founded in June 1953 in China and is now the largest medical publisher in that country, producing over 4,000 titles a year, including medical textbooks and monographs, among others. In 2008, it acquired BC Decker, a Canadian medical publisher, and established an American company, PMPH USA, Ltd. PMPH USA publishes clinical references, textbooks, and online material for a global market of practicing physicians and dentists, medical and dental students, and other practitioners in the health sciences. The books are edited and authored by experts in the fields of gastroenterology, otorhinolaryngology, oncology, surgery, neurology, pediatrics, obstetric medicine, pathology, oral surgery, oral medicine, and dentistry.

Since 2008, we have received 100 titles from both PMPH USA and People’s Medical Publishing House, and we have published reviews of 59 of them. Eight titles were selected for Doody’s Core Titles 2018, one in two specialties, and one was selected an Essential Purchase title.
